Gaining experience is a common problem when trying to break into IT. Employers require experience, but how do you get experience if you can't get a job? I often field this question as Monster's expert on the IT Careers Forum and in my work at Cerco Training & Recruitment, Ltd.
A major issue people have when trying to break into the industry is how much training and how much experience do I need to get started? Training courses are everywhere, but after much investment in time and money many students are still told that they cannot get the job without experience. Back to square one. So how do you take that all-important first step?
